The aim of this study was to analyze the lived experiences of various stakeholders in the Iraqi football industry in evaluating the relationship between communication literacy and their quality of life. This qualitative study employed a descriptive phenomenological approach. Key stakeholders included fans, athletes, coaches, referees, senior and operational managers of the Iraqi Football Federation, managers and experts from professional football clubs, Asian and global football federations, media, sponsors, and active companies in the Iraqi football industry. A total of 20 participants were purposively selected for this study. For data interpretation and analysis, a seven-step Colaizzi method was used to generate categories and subcategories. The research findings revealed five main factors impacting stakeholders' quality of life: inadequate fundamental skills, appropriate awareness of interaction dimensions, social support and overall life satisfaction, low analytical thinking, and diverse attitudes. The findings indicate that some stakeholders face inadequate fundamental skills and low analytical thinking, which may lead to a decrease in their quality of life. Conversely, appropriate awareness of interaction dimensions and positive social support contribute to improved overall life satisfaction. Additionally, the diverse attitudes toward communication literacy impact suggest that some groups have not yet fully grasped its effects. Overall, this research highlights the need for enhancing communication literacy and raising awareness among football stakeholders, recommending the development of educational and supportive programs to improve communication skills and increase awareness of its positive effects on quality of life.

Rapid changes in organizations and work environments, driven by technological advancements and globalization, have propelled organizations towards a team-based approach. Consequently, methods to enhance individuals' teamwork skills have gained significant attention. Given the remarkable popularity of electronic sports, this study aimed to investigate the impact of electronic sports on strengthening teamwork skills among users. To this end, undergraduate students majoring in physical education (40 male participants with an average age of approximately 20 years) were randomly selected. After obtaining their consent, they were randomly assigned to two groups: the gaming group and the control group. The gaming group engaged in electronic sports in pairs for eight weeks. Game results were recorded to measure team performance. The Belbin Team Role questionnaire was used to assess changes in teamwork skills. The data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance. Results indicated an improvement in team performance from the fourth week onwards and a strengthening of teamwork skills among members of the gaming group after the eight-week period. These findings contribute to the recognition of electronic sports as a tool beyond entertainment, offering a valuable option for developing teamwork skills.

The present study aimed to develop a model for sports brand rejuvenation through communications within the context of Iran's sports industry. This research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach (qualitative-quantitative). In the qualitative section, the Grounded Theory method with a Glaserian approach and modeling technique was employed. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with 18 media and communications managers, marketing managers, university professors, and branding specialists in Iran's sports sector. These data were then analyzed using a three-stage coding process (open, axial, and selective). In the quantitative section, identified factors were weighted and prioritized using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the opinions of 12 experts. The research findings led to the identification of 83 concepts, 12 sub-categories, and 4 main categories. The main categories identified for sports brand rejuvenation through communications include: brand identity formation, communication interactions, brand experience development, and brand establishment and continuity. Each of these categories clarifies key dimensions and strategies in the brand rejuvenation process. The results of this study indicate that successful sports brand rejuvenation necessitates a strategic and integrated approach to communications management. This model provides an operational framework for managers and stakeholders in the sports industry to revitalize and sustain their brands in the face of environmental challenges by focusing on the identified dimensions. Furthermore, the findings offer practical strategies for managers and stakeholders in the sports industry to pave the way for their brand rejuvenation by reviewing brand identity, interactions, and experiences, while optimally utilizing new communication platforms.

This research aims to analyze the discursive conflict between the head of the Wrestling Federation and the Deputy Minister of Professional and Championship Affairs of the Ministry of Sports during the General Assembly of the Wrestling Federation in order to find out what are the most important signs hidden in this communication event? This research was conducted using the theoretical framework of discourse analysis and relying on John Fisk's levels of analysis. The findings showed that in this conflict, the two sides of the conversation used conceptual, cognitive and linguistic adaptations to win the debate. So that the head of the Wrestling Federation tried to invalidate the claims of the other side by using cultural images, verbal forces and emotional states and emerged victorious from the conflict, while the Deputy Minister tried to maintain the situation and conditions of the conversation in his favor by avoiding eye contact, avoiding emotional states and using the principles of cognitive perceptions. While both sides, while believing themselves to be right, have tried to dominate the discussion in their own favor, regardless of the recognized boundaries of the conversation, and in this process have used techniques of superior discussion.Since the correct way of conversation requires special skills and imposes certain rules and principles on the participants,it is therefore recommended that managers stop imposing their own ideas, free themselves from thinking alone, hear each other's voices, understand the other side, improve their listening skills, focus on their common goals, and enter the conversation without their own intellectual backgrounds towards the other side

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of social media in the development of recreational and professional sports among persons with disabilities in Iran.To this end, a mixed qualitative approach was adopted, combining content analysis of active social media pages (Instagram, Telegram, and Twitter) with thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews conducted with athletes, coaches, and sports administrators. Purposeful sampling was used, and data coding was carried out through initial extraction, conceptual merging, and thematic categorization. For the digital content analysis,35 active pages related to disability sports were reviewed over a one-year period. In addition,22 in-depth interviews were conducted, encompassing a diversity of gender, type of disability, and level of sports involvement (recreational and professional).Findings revealed that social media contributes to the development of disability sports through four main mechanisms: “motivation and self-belief,” “networking and social support,” “information dissemination and awareness-raising,” and “content-related challenges.” Motivational content generated the highest user engagement. Telegram played a key role in facilitating local connections, while Instagram was particularly effective in enhancing athlete visibility. However, several challenges were identified, including unprofessional content, the absence of subtitles in videos for users with sensory disabilities, and negative social comparisons. The results suggest that social media can serve as an effective tool for empowering individuals with disabilities through sport, provided that content production and management on these platforms are conducted with care and inclusivity. It is recommended that sports organizations leverage the potential of these platforms to develop targeted communication strategies aimed at increasing participation and reshaping societal perceptions of disability.

E-sports, encompassing online and offline activities as well as training classes, have experienced significant growth over the last decade. It is widely acknowledged that sports performance is multifaceted, resulting from the interaction of various factors such as physiological fitness, psychological preparedness, physical development, cultural awareness, nutrition, genetics, general health, and sociocultural influences. Recently, a new dimension—E-sports and distance sports—has emerged, characterized by its unique attributes. Both traditional sports and E-sports share a common foundation: they involve movements and activities that enhance health, both physically and mentally. This research will utilize principles and findings from a cognitive theory known as the Conceptual Integration Network (CIN) to analyze E-sports and assess the potential effectiveness of cognitive awareness for E-sport coaches and managers. CIN suggests basic relationships that allow for the analysis of various aspects of distance sports training. After collecting data from respondents who are active trainers in distance sports training in Iran, an analysis was conducted based on the inputs and outputs defined by CIN, focusing on essential relationships across different aspects of selected distance sports activities. The primary hypothesis of this interdisciplinary research is that CIN analysis can contribute to enhancing cognitive knowledge, education, and training in E-sports.

The purpose of the current research is to understand the challenges of interpersonal communication etiquette in international sports events and to provide optimal solutions in the post-Corona era. This study was conducted using qualitative phenomenological research methods, which are exploratory in nature. The statistical population for the field interviews included national team athletes, national team coaches, sports management specialists, sports psychology experts, sports sociologists, and viral disease specialists, all targeted for interviews. A total of 56 qualitative interviews were conducted until theoretical saturation was achieved. The coding and analysis of the interviews were performed using MaxQDA Pro software.
The results indicated that the challenges of interpersonal communication etiquette in international sports events include cultural-social, value-based, educational, communication, and health-related challenges. Furthermore, the findings revealed 19 communication models among athletes, selected for key reasons such as respectful behavior, hygiene, attention to cultural values, fostering friendship, authenticity of behavior, transmission of Olympic values, and optimal performance. Additionally, desirable solutions for improving interpersonal communication etiquette in international sports events were identified, including modeling, educational initiatives, managerial approaches, and media engagement. To provide optimal solutions, this research also suggests adopting cultural practices such as placing hands on the chest and maintaining a proper distance instead of shaking hands.

The aim of this research was to analyze self-knowledge and other-knowledge (Jo-Hari window) of the employees of the General Department of Sports and Youth of Alborz province. The statistical population of this research was made up of the employees of the General Department of Sports and Youth of Alborz province (N = 129). Using Morgan's table, the number of statistical samples was estimated to be 97, which were selected through convenience sampling. The research method is applied and analytical, which was implemented in the field. In order to collect data, a 20-question questionnaire developed by Joseph Luft (1992) was used. Statistical methods include descriptive indices, graphical evaluation of self and others, and inferential analyses, including one-sample t-tests, independent t-tests, and one-way analysis of variance to compare the dependent variable based on qualitative demographic variables using Excel, SPSS, and Stata software. The results showed that scores of 27.80 and 28.5 were obtained from the total score of 50 related to providing feedback and willingness to disclose. In other words, the average level of 25 for each of the 2 mentioned factors exhibits a slight increasing trend, and thus, the level of the unknown quadrant has decreased very little. There is a significant difference in the willingness to disclose based on gender, as men had higher average scores. Additionally, the results showed that there is no significant difference among employees in the factors of providing feedback and willingness to disclose based on educational qualification.

Managing diversity by leveraging ethical commitment and reducing burnout can positively impact organizations. This study aimed to develop a relationship model connecting diversity management with burnout and the ethical commitment of sports journalists. Descriptive-correlation statistical method was used to analyze the data. 162 sports reporters were selected as the research sample. The data collection tools were standard Maslach burnout questionnaires, Hashemi's moral commitment and William Mill's diversity management questionnaires. To evaluate the dimensions of the studied variables and assess the validity of the structure, confirmatory factor analysis and to test the research hypotheses, after collecting data, according to the research objectives and questions, one-sample t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analyses were performed using SPSS and AMOS statistical software. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between burnout and moral commitment with diversity management. The results indicate that burnout and moral commitment predict 28% of the variance in diversity management. Also, the beta of job burnout and moral commitment are equal to 0.19 and 0.38, respectively, which significantly predict diversity management. Based on these findings, it is crucial to focus on diversity management to prevent burnout and enhance the moral commitment of sports reporters.

The present research was designed and conducted to analyze the interactive relationships among the dimensions of entrepreneurship development through sports in the technical and vocational universities of the country. This study employed a mixed-methods approach, consisting of both qualitative and quantitative components. The statistical population included experts with comprehensive knowledge of the research topic. Data collection tools comprised semi-structured interviews and researcher-developed questionnaires. For the quantitative analysis, the DEMATEL method was utilized, while the qualitative analysis employed the fuzzy Delphi method. Following the application of the fuzzy Delphi method, 46 items were identified and categorized into four main dimensions and twelve sub-dimensions. These dimensions include:1) Environmental Factors: Customs, laws and regulations, policy issues, and social issues. 2) Commercial Factors: Markets and sports products. 3) Specialized Factors: Technology, experience, sports events, and education. 4) Managerial Factors: Planning, evaluation, and monitoring. In the subsequent phase of the research, the DEMATEL method was applied to analyze the twelve components: customs, laws and regulations, policy issues, social issues, markets, sports products, technology, experience, sports events, education, planning, and evaluation and monitoring. This method was used to identify the relationships between these dimensions. The findings indicated that education, rules and regulations, planning, evaluation and supervision, customs, and policy issues play a significant and clear role in the emergence and formation of other factors contributing to the development of entrepreneurship through sports in the technical and vocational universities of the country.
