The present study aims to investigate the role of quartet of media (cultivating culture, training, informing, and encourage to social cooperation) in promotion of sport’s student. The study was descriptive survey, and carried out in field research. The sample population was the students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahwaz, year 94-95 (N=15097). The sampling was classification and the sample population was N=370. The instruments to gather information was Eidi et al (1393) adjusted questionnaire, which includes 42 questions. The validity of the questionnaire has been approved by ten professors from faculty of physical education and sport sciences in Shahid Chamran University of Ahwaz. The validity of the questionnaire was calculated (a=0/96) by Cronbach's alpha. Descriptive statistic was used to describe the individual traits and Kolmogorov–Smirnov test was used to check whether the data was distributed normally. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to check the role of quartet of media in promulgation of sport’s student. An independent t-test was used to compare the viewpoints, and Friedman test was used in order to rank the components of quartet of media. The results show that there is a meaningful correlation between the roles of quartet of media and promotion of sport’s student at level of 0/001. There is no significant difference between men and women’s viewpoints. Among media, TV was the first choice of men and women. Media especially T.V in order to fulfill their responsibilities and to cultivate the culture must get a new look to sport’s student.

AbstractExercise habits and behavior of people, their attitudes and beliefs in sports issues, Under the influence of the mutual interests of society and the media is located. Purpose of this research was an analytical study of sports press with disabled sports approach. The statistical society of current research was the contents of 2 main sports newspapers published during 2014 in Iran. Method of sampling was normal random and it was based on statistic weekly in which 2 statistic weeks where chosen of every newspaper. The measuring instrument was coding sheet and its reliability was approved by 14 experts of sports and communication management. Also the objectivity and the stability coefficient were measured according to Scott formula for (Disabled sports 89%, sport field 96%, gender 94%, Sports component 85%, Boundaries sports news 88%, orientation 81%, Distribution of photo subjects 91%, Type of disability 82%). Results showed that 99% of content was covering ability people sport and only 1% of this coverage was about disability sport. The disability classification in the news, disabled amputation by 26%, with 22% of cerebral palsy and blind and deaf, each with 11 percent, respectively were. The results of the study show that the disabled sports coverage was very low, it is recommended that the press and the authorities with pay more attention to sports for the disabled, attracting more people with disabilities to exercise.

Abstract Mass media have an enormous role in shaping and directing society’s attitudes, beliefs, thoughts and constructing a proper position for sport arena. Purpose of this research was an analytical study of sport section of Khuzestan press with women’s sport approach. The statistical society of current research was the sports sections of 6 main newspapers published during 2013 in Khuzestan. Method of sampling was normal random and it was based on statistic weekly in which two statistic weeks were chosen of every newspaper. The measuring instrument was coding sheetand its reliability was approved by 15 professionals of sports and communication management. Also the objectivityand the stability coefficient were measured according to Scott formula for (gender 94%, sport field 96%, writing style 82%, status of interviewees 94%, the coverage and form of the text 98%, pictures size 87%, orientation 83%). Results showed that 81% of Khuzestan press sport section was covering men sports and only 5.6% of this coverage was about women sport. Including 30 sport fields formen and 20 sport fields for women. From 369 pictures, 81.4% were related to men and only 5.4% was related to women. Among 20 pictures related to women 90% of them were in small size and only 10% of them were in large size. Also considering the standpoints of contents, 42.6% of them had positive standpoints, 18% were negative and 39.3 was neutral. Considering the results of current research and tremendous differences between women and men’s sport press coverage, it is recommended that by showing special consideration toward covering women’s sport and attracting them toward exciting sports areas, press can help women’s sport to develop and finally improve the society’s health and wellbeing.
