Abstract
The use of information and communication technology can lead to the development of the required skills in students. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Application of information and communication technology indicators with communication skills components in physical education students of Payame Noor University of Guilan province. This study was an applied and cross-sectional descriptive-survey research. The statistical population was 151 people from physical education and sport sciences students in Payame Noor University of Guilan Province. The data collection method was a questionnaire and the used instrument in this study had an appropriate validity and reliability for the implementation of study. The collected data were classified by descriptive statistical methods and were analyzed by Kolmogorov Smirnov, One- Sample T Test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and independent t-test. The SPSS software (version 23) was used for data analysis (α≤0.05). The results showed that boys’ access and use of information and communication technology was higher than girls, but girls’ level of communication skills was higher than boys. Therefore, it is recommended that universities of the country and physical education faculties should pay attention to the knowledge of students’ information and communication skills.
