Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of media in the development of moral legitimacy in Iran's sports legal system. The research method is qualitative and with thematic analysis approach. The statistical population of this research includes experts familiar with the media, moral legitimacy and the legal system of Iranian sports, which includes university professors (at least two researches in the field of research variables), Iranian sports lawyers (having experience in legal cases in Iranian sports) and Some managers of Iranian sports media (radio, television, newspapers and sports magazines) with more than 5 years of experience were selected by purposeful sampling (15 people). The research tools included systematic library study and structured exploratory interviews. The validity of the tool was evaluated and confirmed based on the legal and scientific validity of the sample, expert opinion and agreement between the correctors. The results of the analysis and interpretation of the experts' interviews showed that there are four roles of awareness-raising, motivational, needs assessment and training among the roles of the media in order to develop moral legitimacy in Iran's sports legal system. Also, the themes of awareness and education can have an impact on needs assessment and motivation.
