The general aim of the research was to investigate the effect of membership in sports virtual networks on the motivation of youth sports participation through the mediation of sports acculturation. The research was descriptive and based on structural equation modeling, and in terms of its purpose, it is considered part of applied research. The data of this research was collected in the field and using a questionnaire. Statistically, all young people were members of virtual sports networks in Tehran. The statistical sample number was 384 people using Morgan's table and non-random sampling method. Structural equation modeling with partial least squares approach was used to test the model and research hypotheses. SPSS software and Smart Pls software were also used for data analysis. The results showed that membership in virtual sports networks has a positive effect on the motivation of young people to participate in sports (0.438) and cultural acceptance of sports in the youth of Tehran (0.671), as well as cultural acceptance of sports on the motivation to participate in sports activities of young people. Tehran city (0.876) has a positive and significant effect. According to the results of the Sobel test, the mediating role of sports acculturation was also confirmed.
