[English]

This research aimed to identify factors and present a conceptual framework for the application of digital innovation to enhance the use and scope of sport tourism destinations in the country. The research method was qualitative with a thematic approach (Clarke & Braun, 2006). Research participants included academic experts (professors and university researchers in sports management) and executive experts (managers, consultants, and experts in sport tourism organizations and businesses) related to the research topic. The sample size was selected as 18 people based on reaching theoretical saturation. Sampling was also done using the theoretical (judgmental) method and based on the expertise, experience, and responsibility of the experts. . A four-stage conceptual coding method with a thematic analysis approach was used to analyze the findings. The extracted themes included 5 general themes, 11 main themes, 29 sub-themes, and 135 axial codes, based on which the thematic network was drawn. Therefore, it is suggested that the presented framework be used for analysis and planning in the transformation of the sport tourism industry.
